Albion Fat Tire Festival who's in?

Only three more days to sign up for the 20km race or 10km poker ride. Just signed my wife and myself up for the 10km poker run. Forecast looks good for some, but not too much snow!! Any one else?

I'll likely go as a spectator, was 'kinda' tempted to try the Poker Run but I've got an intermittent break issue I'm trying to sort out.

Yes hopefully if I can score a bike by then... Enjoy seems like it will be a great event with the snow conditions.

All signed up for the 10k poker ride.
Love the idea. Know about 6 or 7 folks heading out for the ride too.

Just got a message from Sean, the chalet is open for spectators to keep warm, with the start finish happening by the chalet as well.
so the more spectators the better.

    Cheers

    Awesome!

Preroad the course today, it is really fun. A shame it will be turned over to xc skiing soon. And that come from an avid xc skier.

The course map on fb isn't very accurate.

You start by the chalet, go up the long slow hill turning left avoiding IMBA, meander over to Woo Wu, taking the short cut into the second half of sugar rush (watch for ice particularly at the bottom of the last down hill), across the street through the flatter sections by the large parking area, then road to the hill going up past get grown moraine momentum etc turn right going into Albion Which (again some icy spots under the snow), then out across into the red trail up to (and avoiding) Pine omb and Tea cup, down to Bmbc (in reverse!!), then back to red trail back to chalet.

Not as challenging as I had feared, that said I'm glad I'm only doing the 10 km poker run, not sure if I've got 20 km in me.

nice to see winter biking getting more in the mainstream as a riding option. the conditions are not so bad on the trails, though not much ice. will be doing a river ride along the humber saturday night as usual though. hoping for a deep freeze.

Did the poker run. It was a great event and had lots of fun on and off the bike.
Was able to stay upright the whole time until the finish line where I when down with a splat. Anyone who knows me knows that I like to fail with an audience.
