8-hr at Mansfield? Anyone else going?

Well, after finishing the Canada Cup #1 at Bromont this Saturday (awesome race), I'm winding-down, resting and prepping for the Gary Fisher Epic 8-hr this Saturday at Mansfield. FritZman and I will both be there going solo at the race....just curious who else is going? What are the conditions like at Mansfield?

    Mansfield

    Congrats!

I road Mansfield the Sunday before last and conditions were very good. It was very dry with only a few soft spots. Lot's of leaves though, didn't know if the small piles were just piles or hidden rocks.

Seemed to be lots of teams/groups training as they were discussing what it will be like for the race (they were also saying how it is easy to get lost there, which I agree with, but I would think it will be better marked for the race).

I was spent after an hour (newb) so I couldn't imagine an 8hr...good luck.

I was thinking about doing this as a solo but I'm not registered or in shape to do an eight hour ride by myself.
If the weather stays dry before the weekend I may head to Buckwallow.

I'm going for the tag team. My brother-in-law will be carrying me on his back...

But seriously, many of my buddies will be there solo. I've not done 8 hours there before... the word I get is that they set up a great course without too many of the nasty climbs (the 45 and oxygen debt...). Should be fun!

I'm with Ollie's Cycle & Ski. See you there...

    Best of luck to you!

    Cheers

    I'll be there!

It'll be my first attempt at an eight hour solo!
What could possibly be a better way to spend a Saturday then riding trails for eight hours straight!
Never been to Mansfield before but I'm not too worried about getting lost because every one of Chico's courses that I have raced on have been very well marked.
Fingers crossed for a warm, sunny day everyone! I don't want to do 8 hours in the crazy weather we have been getting lately.

    Sorry for the late reply...

I will be there as well... part of a SS tag team dubbed "one gear, one brain-cell"
We will be slow, look for the distressed rider walking all the hills... that's me
