2016 Sausage Suit ITT / TVG Campout

It is back again, Substance Projects Sausage Suit ITT, and the Team Van Go Campout.

    Date: October 15th, 2016

That's correct, back by popular demand, Team Van Go will be hosting the camping again, after the race. Bring your BBQ, pitch your tent (or trailer, or Van!) , have dinner then enjoy the evening around a campfire. Sing some songs, enjoy trail stories and meet some new people!

We have use of a large grassy area with plenty of room to camp for the evening after the race. And it's free with your entry fee! Portapotties from the race will be on site still, so no worries there.

    Registration is now open:

    https://www.webscorer.com/register?raceid=79476

The premise of the SSITT is an individual start with 30 seconds between each rider....no mass start, no crowds! This also means lots 'o single track, not so much double track. Options for the Bike are 15km or 30km (approx.). Also there is the 15km trail run option as well!!!

The course will be a single lap (15km) or two laps (30km) of the single track exclusively in Dufferin Forest.

Did you do the race last year???? Well the course is going to be the same, so compare you lap times from last year.... Try and beat yourself!!!

Remember the key to this is have fun and above all, have a lot of fun. (and enjoy a beer afterwards)

    Please no drinking and driving.

Just an additional note: As this is a time trial format, each entry will be assigned a start time with 30 second intervals between them. It's a bit of work to set up the start list with the times assigned to the riders so the earlier you sign up the better. It will just reduce the work load in the end. See you for a fall single track tour of Dufferin Forest!

great trails (even if its been a little wet as it dries very quickly up there)
should be very scenic that time of the fall with the colors and all.
    also great people and beer?

It's going to be an amazing day Saturday. High of 20 degrees, absolutely beautiful colours on the trees, barely any leaves on the trails. A bit of rain the other night which has made the trails the best they've been all summer. A low of 16 for the Kampout, almost a full moon & a bon-fire. If you've every wanted to ride Dufferin but was afraid of getting lost (or got lost) this is an opportunity for a 15km (or 30km) guided tour. Looking forward to a great day with friends on and off the trail. Day of registration is available.

The SSTT was a good time! Good conditions, good times and good friends. I ddin't ride but I did sit in a lawn chair, with a beer in my hand and "encouraged" the riders on the turns and curves designed by Bernie. There were a few people hating him through that section.
