XTR 11 sp RD/Shifter, goatlink11, RF Next SL Crankset, and XX1 Cassette...what Chain?

    Running this setup

xtr 11 spd RD and Shifter
    Next Sl Crank arms
Wolfstooth DM 32 Oval with 51mm chainline
    XX1 10x42 Cassette
    Goatlink 11

Which chain do I run Sram or Shimano? I have heard shimano is more durable but I like the masterlink option on the sram. I have been running Shimano for the past 5 years with no problems. But I used to run Sram 9 spd for many years and never had any issues there either. Anyone running this setup and have input on which way to go?

I use Shimano XTR and XT ... pretty much bombproof in my experience as I never broke a chain in the last 15 years ...

I have same setup on one bike (minus the goatlink) and have used a 10 speed KMC with great success, a 10 speed XTR and an 11sp sram. Bike shifts flawless top to bottom and back. Which makes me ask, politely, why you put a goatlink on?

Most likely because the XTR won't handle the 42 so the GL helps it with that, just guessing.

The XT and XTR handle 42 just perfect.

I do recall seeing something about the XTR not liking 42 for some reason. Can't find the specific posts tho.

10 speed XTR needs the Goatlink (or a longer B screw). 11 speed XTR does not.
