Will my 9 speed front chainrings work with a new 10 speed set up? I've heard they might not. Your input would be appreciated.

frdfandc's link is a great place to research your question-

In a summary yes a 9 speed front der CAN work with a 10 speed chain. Will it work in every situation, tough to say but from the thread the general concessions is that it works best when matched to a 9 speed crankset- in other words match the FD to the crankset-

I am personally running a 10 speed rear cassette, chain, rear der and shifters with a 9 speed front der and 9 speed cranks. In the case of shimano the left/front shifter still has the same ratios as the 9 speed so no issue when mixing them. I would guess the same for Sram but do not know for sure-
