Where is X9 Rear Derailleur now?

I do't get it, there used to be the x9 clutch derailleur, now I see that just the GX 10 speed and the X0 10 speeds. What happens to the X9 option? Really need this but they stop making it? When they gonna tell us?

not sure where you're looking, but it's on SRAM's website and a quick google search turns up several online retailers selling it.

I think your question is more along.

Why does it seem every major online shop is sold out of the SRAM X9 Type 2/2.1 derailleur?

Is that right? If so I have the same question. Jenson, CC, Arts...etc. are all out of stock, it's very strange.

    Do a Fleabay search.
I found several you might have to order from Taiwan or Hong Kong.
Or wait for a local dealer to get them back in stock.

Sure you can get them from random people of ebay. The more interesting part is that they have been out of stock for several months from major retailers.

First it was the X9 components, but then the X0 components dried up as well. I find it very odd.

With the new line's out they could be doing away with them.
Recently a friend took his bike in for warranty service they replaced the X9 and gave him a GX instead.
So it very well may be they are not going to make the X7, X9 XO line up but until I hear it from SRAM we are just guessing.

Why? Maybe the new ones are better. I have an X9 Type2 and the clutch mechanism is crap. I bet they've fixed it.

Read in articles on the GX drivetrain as far back as last spring that GX was replacing X7 and X9.
I'm torn about that, since GX has all the features and is dirt cheap, but is also unproven and heavier than X7 or X9. If those aren't available, it's a big jump pricewise from GX to X0 for 10sp with SRAM shifters.
