    thumbless trigger shifter

I just learned that STI shifters, for drop handlebars, shift up and down with two parallel levers that move the same direction.

Are there any trigger shifters that one shifts up and down by clicking two buttons with just fingers (not your thumb)?

This is a thumb arthritis concern.

I have the Shimano lx Dual-control shifters on my 06 Stumpjumper fsr, they're basically STI mt bike sfifters.
A lot of people hated them but I've never had a problem with them.
They were only available for 9-spd, though, if that's an issue to you.

Yeah, Shimano Dual Control. It's more of a push/pull situation, but you don't have to use your thumb. I actually really liked the idea but it needed some revision and the reception was bad enough to kill it entirely.

Why not grip shift? If you can hold the bars you can twist.

Or XTR Di2. Not much of a push with electric. Does cost an arm and a leg and your left testicle plus a kidney.

I have weak thumbs, from years of vert skateboarding. Grip Shift is the only thing I use now: fast, light, cheap, crash-resistant and never works the thumbs!
