    Thinnest/low profile clipless pedals?

    Hi,

I saw a preview of the new XT m8000 pedals, and try mentioned they have a thinner profile than the current XT trails. The new ones don't look to be available for another month, but it got me thinking- are there other alternatives out there that provide a thinner/low profile than the current XT clip less pedals?

    Thank you

I'm really clueless about that type of pedals. Good platforms and 5.10 shoes can be pretty thin/low profile if you're just looking for what works and don't necessarily want clipless. I have the xpedo spry and like it, but Wellgo MG-5 is good, too. Plenty of others out there.

haha...the last component on by bike I would want to be clueless would be my pedals, well actually my tires would be the first thing, then my clipless pedals.

I run Spank Spike pedals on both my bikes and like them a lot. You can find them on sale if you Google them.

Reading comprehension is lacking for many in this thread.

The OP was specifiically asking about clipless pedals...no flats.

Well, most flats don't have any clips, therefore they are clip-less - Devil's Advocate

Actually, the OP asked about a specific set of clipless (M8000) and alternatives with no mention whether clipless or flat was a preference, just low profile. Read it again. It may have been implied, but flats are a legit alternative, so I made the suggestion. No need to get snotty.

Funny how editing the original post without mentioning it makes it read differently.

Uh, yep. Something's odd here. At least two of us read clueless pedals (myself and evasive), hence why I used the word clueless in my original response. Not like it's a big deal. More than anything I was annoyed by the insulting tone the other guy took.
