Swapping One Crankset Between 2 bikes (2x10 to 1x11)

Hi, I currently have a 29er HT with a XTR 2x10 setup. I just picked up a 27.5 6 inch travel bike that I'm running 1x11. I currently have a Powertap wheel on my 29er and am looking at ditching that and going with a Power2Max Rotor Rex 3 crank (104/60 BCD) to use on both bikes (just move the crankset depending on which bike I'm riding). I basically would just have to swap chainrings. This isn't a big deal to me, since I do all of my own wrenching. I would end up selling my Powertap and XTR crankset.

Any things to consider with this approach? I know chainline will be one of them. BTW, I train and race with a power meter. I know it might seem like overkill on the 6-inch travel bike, but powering up a climb for 30+ minutes is a workout and is important to catch.

    Thanks for the help!
    -Pete

P.S. Should I run or bash ring or not for the 1x11 setup?

So, one of my riding buddies reminded me about Stages...duh! I can have XT cranks on both bikes, then just swap the lefthand crank arm. Much easier and quicker. Plus, Stages is currently offering USA Cycling members 20% off...

This is a worthwhile article, I think.

Maybe some stuff in there that you haven't considered yet.

I am actually deeply intrigued by this one:

Thanks...DC Rainmaker always has great reviews... I ended up ordering a Stages from my LBS today. I don't have any experience with the PowerCal, but have been using PowerTaps for nearly 10 years now. I've ridden them through road salt invested slush and on scorching 130 F pavement. The early hubs were prone to some issues, but the G3 hubs have been flawless for me. I got 12,000 miles out of one before it needed to be overhauled.
