    SunRace CSMZ903 11-51T

    hello all

I am planning converting to x 1 system.
already bought xt derailleur and shifter, planning to buy xt 12 crank.
the only problem is my hub, it's can't by upgrade to micro spline so I find this one SunRace CSMZ903.

does anybody heard about this one?

    Thanks

Sunrace makes lots of cassettes. I've been using their 11-46 11spd cassettes for quite awhile. They're inexpensive and a little heavy, but they work fine.

Converting to 12-speed seems a lot more involved than 11-speed. You can get 11-52t range from an 11-speed setup for around $300 w/o the crankset. If you want to go 12-speed, go for it but I'm just saying that 11-speed is way more compatible with the average rear wheel lying around online, not to mention most or all of your rear wheels already in the garage, and you still can have the same range.
We ALL have something to learn here. Post helpful solutions instead of flaming for your own sadistic need.

I thought about 11 speed but i preferred 12 speed. The new shimano looks like a good upgrade.
The only downside is the rear wheel...

You can use a 12spd cassette with an HG interface (Sunrace, NX Eagle, etc) until you decide to change the wheels, or if you have no plans to do so. It'll work.

The rear wheel/freehub body issue is a big reason why my older bikes probably won't get Shimano 12spd for a long time, if ever. One has a Micro Spline freehub body I could buy (Industry Nine Torch, costs $180 IIRC), but none of the others do right now (Hope, Novatec, Shimano M529 rear wheels). I did put Shimano 12spd on my newest bike, though, and I planned my build around it to minimize issues. I was still such an early enough adopter that I had some crank/chainring headaches to get the gearing I wanted.

Haven't seen the Sunrace 11-51, but I have their 11-50 12 speed cassette with SRAM GX shifter & RD and it shifts as well as straight Shimano HG. The cassette isn't super light, but it saved me having to get a new rear wheel. No reason why their 11-51 cassette shouldn't shift well too, although HG+ *may* shift better, who knows.

    My report

Hi, finally i received all the parts for the upgrade.
The cassette fit my hub perfectly.
I did a little test, 60 km and it performed well.
Pedalling is very quiet, shifting smooth and accurate.
It's a lot of fun to use 1x12 instead of 2x10 and it feels faster...
The only question is the durability.
