    Sunrace CSMX9

    Hi,

Has anyone used the sunrace CSMX9 10-42 11speed cassette? Looks sweet with the range of a sram 11 speed cassette

I see it in their 2015 catalogue but can't find it for sale. Interesting how they squeezed the 10t without the need of the Sram XD freehub

To answer my own they do require a special freehub just like the SRAM 10-42. More in this article

    Sunrace csmx9 - hbmx9

Hello, the requested freehub under the reference HBMX9 will be shown at the TAIPEI Show in the beginning of March 2016. No price or technical information right now. What we can only say about the cassette is that 10t and 12t sprockets are made of one and same piece.
So the freehub will be not like the XD sram or HOPE. SUNRACE has confirmed me that it ll be not compatible with SRAM XD.

The CSMX9 is right now available in France for 95 euros, do not know yet for you in the USA.

Hello Fatcat, i am not working for Sunrace but i am in contact with them regarding my blog VeloAcier.com | From City-center To Country-side Riding A Steel Bike.

Since the Taipei Show, i have updated the information at the end of the page, but to make it short : HBMX9 refers to a brand new hub, no freehub sold separately. They are not sure to launch the product yet, as in the same time they are going to launch a brand new 11s cassette - 11/46T. wait and see.
