SUNRACE CSMX8 MX 11-Speed Wide-Ratio Cassette 11-46
Hi,
Anyone aware if it is good alternative for shimano xt 11-46 cassette. I converted my drivetrain 2x11 to 1x11 with 32 front chainring. Currently I have 11-42 cassette and I want to change it for 11-46. Sunrace seems to me has better for uphills.
Sunrace: 11-13-15-18-21-24-28-32-36-40-46T
Shimano XT: 11-13-15-17-19-21-24-28-32-37-46
Regards

One more. I have crankset shimano xt m8000 2x11 boost. I dismounted both chainrings 26-36 and mounted 32T shimano m7000 dedicated for 1x11. Generally all is running fine with my 11-42 cassette. I have only impression that chain is to curved on highest chainrings and wonder if I should add spacers between spider and chainring in front.

I've been using the Sunrace cassette for 9 months or so. Shifts great so far. The earlier ones have a reputation for wearing out quickly. This one has been solid since I put it on.

I use the sunrace 11-50 and use the goatlink on my HT and it works great. Where I live a 46 would not cut it, to many super steep hills. 50T is required for most of us.

You have many options.
- Go 30 front
- 11-46 if RD will take it(will the chain be long enough?)
I like 10-42 11 S or 11-42 10S because where i ride 46 and 50 tend to pick up stuff(lower chain)

Thank you All. I think of purchasing Sunrace MX8 however if this made partially from aluminum I am not sure of durability.

Only the largest gear is 7075, they are very durable

I have about 500km on a CSMX80 11-50t without issues. Using M8000-GS rd, Wolf Cage and Goatlink. Shifts great.
