SRAM Xsync direct mount chainring. Which offset? Very confused

Got a 2016 Top Fuel, Boost front and rear. I want to buy a smaller chainring. I have a X1 crankset. I found the chai rings for sale, but they come in both 0 and 6m offset. So I look at the back of mine, and it says 3mm offset Boost 148 Compatible. WTH?

    This is maddening. Now what?

You need a 3 mm offset Boost 148 compatible.
0 mm off set is for BB30/ PF30
6 mm off set is for GXP
3 mm off set is for Boost 148
Also you can call or email SRAM they would be happy to answer any questions you may have.
    That's what I've always done.
I would rather get the info from the manufacture than from some un-known person online some times your only getting opinions.

Thanks for spelling that out. When I looked at a few online places, they only mentioned the 0 and the 6 offset. I found a place on ebay that actually has the 3mm too. So, I'm set.

I didn't realize I could call sram. I did some looking around in these forums, and found a few instances where people were complaining they couldn't get good info direct from sram, they had to go through a dealer. My dealer, while a beautiful store, knows zero about mountain bikes or anything beyond the basics. I was shocked. They were shocked when they got my top fuel in. No one had ever seen one in person.

    Thanks again.
