SRAM NX & GX Eagle on older Santa Cruz Highball frame

Any reason I can't replace my drive train with a NX eagle Cassette with GX Eagle RD and shifter on an older Highball? Any chainline problems? Any thing I'm not thinking about. It's currently 1 x 10 with One Up rad cage and cassette.

It'll work. It's not a change I would do personally, though. I'm building a whole new bike and I'm avoiding 12spd entirely. I haven't decided yet if I'll use some old 10spd bits, or whether I will get some XT 11spd like my other bikes.

Why are you avoiding 12 speed?

Agreed, why? I love my XO Eagle on the full suspension. Thatís why I want it on my hardtail.

Chainline on 1x11 is already less than ideal. 1x12 is not better, and sram had to do that stupid nw big cog crap to deal with it, which results in occasional jumps until the chain syncs up again.

I have an 11-46 cassette on my bike now, and that is all the range I need. 10-50 is more than I want. Even 11-50 is more than I want.

I don't want to go back to long cage derailleurs, which you have to do to get that much range again. Once people started using Eagle, I started seeing an increase in reports of derailleurs getting ripped off.
