Simple question on pedal compatibility and more ?

I want to buy new clipless m520 from shimano on ebay to replace the cheap pedals kona put on my cinder cone, I just want to know if they will fit on the Shimano FC-M440 crankarm, maybe this is an obvoius question and every pedal from shimano are compatible on shimanos crankarm but i'm new to this ?

Also, what tool do I need to replace the pedals myself ( if they're compatible )

    thanks in advance

They are compatible, I believe. Virtually all pedals are compatible. All you need is an open wrench of the size needed (most probably 12mm).

NB: One side threads in normally, the other side is reverse threaded.

It's easy to remember - just hold the wrench on the pedal and rotate the cranks backward. It will set up automatically.

I use the old "Back off, man." to remember which way to spin the wrench. If you want to remove your pedals, turn the wrench towards the back of the bike and you'll be ok.
