    Shimano parts help

    Hi folks,

I need to find a middle chainring for a FC-M582 crankset. The Shimano part # is Y1-FU 98020. Iíve had zero luck trying to locate this part.

    Thanks in advance!!!

    John

hmmm, Looks like you want a 32t with 104 BCD. Running in a triple 22/32/44.

Check your old chainring. It will have a code stamped somewhere on the chainring like AK or AH. all 3 chainrings will share the same code which means they work together as a system.

The good news is you don't need that exact part number.

As long as you can find a 32 chainring with 104BCD and the same AH/AK (etc) code, it will work with your crank. It can be Deore, LX, SLX, XT, XTR, doesn't matter.

    Hope that helps
