RF Cinch - Steel Cinch ring mounting...correct?

Just bought a new Race Face steel cinch chainring.

Is the is the correct way to mount? crank arms same direction as arrow. I ask because the chainring "supports are not symmetrical.

    Thanks.

Wouldn't the crank arm be mounted 90 degrees to the right of where your arrow is pointing, where the little nub is on the inside radius of the chainring? Basically, that nub is hidden under the crank arm.

Thanks...I've heard that twice now. No instructions came with the chainring, and I can't ind any on the RF site.

Not sure what the little tab is for...?

That little tab is the index for where the crank should be....sort of an unwrit writ in the bike industry.
In the real would.....I would bet you that no matter how you mounted it....you would not notice a difference.

On a round chain ring youd have no idea how it was "clocked"

All single chainrings have a mark like that. Either a painted looking mark, a tab like you have. Always simply look for what is "out of place" because that the line up for the crank arm.
