Race Face Ride XC crank set

    Hello All,

I have a Race Face Ride xc Crank set.I picked them up used and want to put them on my current bike which is a 10 cannondale f7. It currently has a 68mm Square taper bb with a shimnao m311 crap crankset. My question is what kind of bb do i need for the race face crankset? Guys at the LBS had no clue and gave me a freakin octalink bb. I have done mass amountsof research before coming on here for help. I have a 3x8 drivetrain going to 1x8 for now. Any help would be awesome! Thank you

I believe this will work for what you're looking to do. You should have a 30mm spindle on those cranks.

Race Face BSA 30mm Bottom Bracket > Components > Drivetrain, Brakes and Pedals > Bottom Brackets | Jenson USA

You will need the tool for it as well.

Race Face BSA30 Bottom Bracket Tool > Accessories > Tools > Bottom Bracket Tools | Jenson USA

Here is a link to the install instructions.

The Truth will set you free.

....but it might offend you first!

If you have the crank in your hands then you should be able to tell? Do they have a spindle sticking out or a square hole or a splined hole?
I think they should have a 24mm spindle and use an X-type BB. A Shimano BSA external bearing BB should be what you need. Measure the diameter of the spindle, assuming it has one.

This did not come with a spindle. The crank arms are splined . Do i need to buy the spindle seperate or will it come with the BB?

If it's splined then I believe it is ISIS.

With a little more research i found a truvativ isis bb. would this be it?

Truvativ Giga Pipe Team SL Isis BB > Components > Drivetrain, Brakes and Pedals > Bottom Brackets | Jenson USA

    or this?
Truvativ Powerspline Bottom Bracket > Components > Drivetrain, Brakes and Pedals > Bottom Brackets | Jenson USA

This one is not isis compatible
and what length would i need? 113 or 118?

    Really appreciate the help

The ISIS one should work. You need to know the width of your bike's BB shell.
For the BB width see this:

Just as a FYI, the RaceFace ISIS cranks don't have a very good reputation, they get loose on the splines - Google it.
You'd be better off with this:
Shimano Deore M610 Crankset > Components > Drivetrain, Brakes and Pedals > Cranksets | Jenson USA
