Production Privee Shan Bottom Bracket
Hi,
I have bought a PP Shan frame and need some cranks for it. My mate is selling me the frame, forks and wheels.
It shall come with the BB but no cranks. Currently it has a BB for SRAM Cranks as he has XO cranks on it.
I believe I can run shimano cranks if I get a Shimano BB - BB92 right?
Ultimately, I want to run a single ring up front, like a 34T - Could I do this with say an SLX / XT Double Crankset? I could use SRAM GXP cranks and have seen some on pinkbike but do not know what the BCD is on them in order to change rings.
Please help! I dont know what the best thing to do is and I dont want to spend hundreds on cranks if I can help it. Thanks

20 seconds.
1) Google "Shimano XT BCD".
2) Google "__mm BCD Narrow Wide chainring".
Come on, man.

Found the BCD of the GXP cranks and ordered a ring from superstar.
I just don't quite understand the B/B standards and what cranks will fit with each standard - looking at cranksets on CRC for example - they don't seem to say what B/B they are compatible with - is this because they all fit on any standard? Cheers.

My frame is a press fit, so a Small BB 92, and deore or slx/xt works with a narrow-wide ring on inside of spider. Need shorter chainring bolts. I like Shimano 2x on some bikes, but 1x11 is great on this bike. But I'd recommend the Shram GX or NX (fits on Shimano freehub) series with a Shram Chain and a Shram narrow wide ring bolted to the Shimano cranks. Go GX Eagle if you have big hills.
