Now that you've had a season on your SRAM GX...

    How do you like it?

I've been trying to find extended reviews of the GX group, but all I can find are first impressions. Not surprising, given it hasn't been on the market very long.

But for those of you who have had it over the summer/fall, does it hold up as well as the higher end SRAM stuff? Any glowing reviews or catastrophic failures?

I'm saving my dollars for a new ride next spring, most likely a Turner Czar. Trying to get an idea if the GX build is good enough or if I should go for the XT build.

I don't have a full season, but I do have a couple hundred miles on my gx derailleur and cassette. Its been pretty much flawless.

I had a GX 2.1 2x10 10spd long cage derailleur paired with a GX shifter for the summer. The shifter was very nice. The derailleur was great at first, but it constantly needed re-tuning and eventually failed to shift properly no matter what i tried. I tested with my X5 shifter as well.

I ended up returning both and went Shimano SLX shadow +.

I don't have the GX but I've been looking to and **for the prices**, I can't look past the new 11 speed XT stuff. That's what I'll be going with on future builds unless SRAM finds a way to drop their prices to remain competitive down the road.

As far as bang for your buck goes right now, I don't see how it could get better than M8000. That's a crazy nice setup for the price.
