Need XT M8000 Derailleur Install info.

    Hi Guys,

I can't find any instructions or specific videos on installing the XT M8000 RD. I don't know if there anything peculiar about the installation of the RD (like some SRAM RDs).

So, is the correct method to align the pulley wheels exactly inline with the tallest and shortest cogs? Anything out of the norm with B screw adjustment?

    Thanks!
    G

I did nothing different when installing mine. Set L & H as per normal. Had to adjust the B screw to clear the 42T a bit. Attached cable and made small barrel adjust on the shifter. Happy days!!

No problem. Be patient and spend time setting up. I've found the 11 speed to be very very fussy. Settings are critical. I put it down to the tighter tolerance to accommodate the extra cog. Indexing must be 100%

Yes, and 5-6mm from the pulley to the biggest cog.
