Need recommendations on crank, rear derailleur, and shifter...

Im looking for a medium cage derailleur that can take a beating, along with a shifter for it. I also am in need of a 68mm, 170mm length crankset. Im going to run a bash guard and an e.13 on it. So just one chain ring up front ( 32 is possible )

Im not sure whats out there and whats out there for what Im looking for in a crank. Id like to spend around 250 and I'd like it to be for FR/AM use. So more so AM then FR. Id like to shave a few grams too if possible.

If you're on a budget and want a 32T Chainring then you could get a second hand triple SLX or XT crankset in which the middle is 32T just ditch the granny and big ring and add the bash - you won't get any chainline / clearance issues that way with the standard hollowtech II BB setup. Up to you whether to go with SRAM or Shimano - for the shifter / RD but X7/X9 or SLX / XT are all good and solid - I have both XT and X9 set ups on different bikes and I like them both. I think SRAM make the shortest cage RD's

Would going to a 36 chainring hinder my ability to climb on a 1x9 with an 11-32 in the rear? should I drop drown to a 32?

It will be tougher to climb with the 36. Whether it will be too hard depends on your preferences, climbing ability and the terrain.

This is a nice deal on a new crankset, just need to buy a non-ramped ring.
