    Dub compatible power meter

My bike came with a SRAM dub crankset, and I would like to add a power meter. Specifically, I was looking at a quarq spider but can't seem to find whether it is compatible with this new standard. It seems that everything points toward purchasing a new xx1 crank with Dzero spider already installed for $1200. Anyone know if the existing Dzero spider or some other option works?

How about a Stages Cycling power meter? You just replace the crank arm.

I would consider that but do they make a compatible arm yet? The dub crank uses a new spindle diameter and I’m not sure whether that impacts the attachment at the arm

I am baffled by the same problem. You can't just replace the left crank arm because with Dub the spindle is attached to the left crank arm and no one makes that yet. I think you can add the Quarq spindle to our existing crank but not 100% sure. There is also the Power2Max product that seems compatible. https://power2max.cc/collections/ngeco-mtb-power-meter

I did notice recently that there are full cranksets available with Dub and dual sided power meters, but they are $1200.

let me know if you find anything else out. Thanks

Quarq on their site have a pm that is DUB compatible.

The spider only that is on their site should work with DUB given that it does not interact with the spindle. The trick is to see if you have the crank where the spider is attached to the arms with 8 little bolts, rather than the standard 3 bolts.

^^^ I'm pretty sure that spider only works with a Quarq specific crank as those are the only ones with that mounting pattern. I speculate that the normal XSync 3 bolt pattern did not provide enough rigidity to keep the PM accurate.
    Do the math.

    Dub compatible power meter-stages-dub.jpg

This appears in his website (stages), I think they just need to design a compatible axle (28.99mm DUB width) with the DUB width conection in one side (right, where the chainring fits) and the the BB30 conection for the stages PM in the left side, at least for BB30 and about GXP I don't know.

    SRAM says this about DUB

I emailed Stages about this and they told me that a Dub-compatible spindle is in the works. Didn’t get a timeline though.

The spindles page now lists a “spindle G” with no description, currently out of stock. That’s new.
