    Dropped chain with Shadow?

I have a new ride with a new Shadow XT rear derailleur. On the triple crankset, shifting from middle to small ring is throwing the chain a lot - several times on first ride. I typically shift under light pedal pressure, and when I tried shifting with more pedal pressure, it seemed to work better. With Shadow switched off, it doesn't seem to be a problem either.

Curious if anyone is having similar issues. Like I said, new bike so I have some tinkering to do. I'll check chain length, but it seems on the short side if anything.

Sounds like a limit screw adjustment on your front D is what's needed. I doubt it has anything to do with your rear D.
