    deore vs sora derailleur

Sometimes it is hard to get past the marketing. For commuting, what is a better derailleur choice Deore or Sora. They are the same price. I currently have a 9 speed Deore LX long cage with a triple up front.

Assuming they are not 10 speed, I'd go Deore for commuting. Probably stand up a little better to the commuting conditions, bit stronger and supposed to be lower profile, less likely to get hit. Depending on what gearing you are running, the Deore will have more capacity.
