Chainline questions going from 3x9 to 1x11

Hi all, I recently built up an On-One 456 EvoII with spare parts from my old xc bike. I want to upgrade to 1x11 and I have a few questions about chainline. I'm currently running old Shimano Deore XT with Truvativ Cranks using an ISIS drive 73mm bottom bracket without any spacers. The cranks are fine and I'd like to avoid buying new ones, so can I keep using these cranks if I upgrade to Shimano XT M8000? What about SRAM Gx with an 11-42 instead of their 10-42? What do I need to do to ensure that my chainline is correct?

Edit: Looks like my chainline is 47.5mm on the middle ring and 54.5mm on the outside ring based on measurements I took myself with a tape measure.

    Hi,
I would suggest using a N/W chainring the middle position of the crank. and fine tune the chainline using some of these.Chainline questions going from 3x9 to 1x11-id-outer-chainring-spacer-silver-55693.jpg
Along with come longer bolts. The washers are available in varying thickness, so it's relatively easy to get the chainline spot on.

I had to do this on my bike. Was easy to do and once I installed them my shifting went from sketchy and nearly impossible to nearly perfect and reliable.
