11-speed crankset with 10-speed mech, chain and cassette?

I am looking for an inexpensive way to convert one of my bikes from 3x9 to 1x10 system. So far I have all the parts but the crankset. I can buy one for little money but it is SRAM GX 11-speed single chainring crankset. The rest of my setup is SRAM X7 mech, 11-32T Shimano cassette and Shimano chain (all 10-speed). Would the 11-speed crankset work or I need to find a 10-speed one?

For 1x setups, 10spd and 11spd are the same up front.

I thought 9 and 10 speed were compatible. Did not know about 10 and 11. My current crank was sold as 9/10 speed crank (Truvativ).

For the front, 9/10/11 all work fine with the same narrow wide rings when on 1x. Wolftooth is the only company I've heard of that even mentions anything not just plain working on 9spd. They recommend a 10spd chain with a 9spd setup for improved performance, but you really don't have to.

Why would you buy a new crankset just to convert to a 1x setup, just remove your current rings and order the Narrow Wide chain ring in the size you want
One day your life will flash before your eyes, will it be worth watching??

I know that would be the easiest but unfortunately, the current crankset has riveted non-removable triple chainrings.

Best to just replace those, anyway, even if you're not converting the drivetrain to something else.
