That guy's user rating is '0' so that's usually a good indication to stay away from him.

Also, I wouldn't be surprised if EBAY will pull the auctions in the next couple of days since those prices do seem way too good to be true.

I have learned that most deals or anything that are too good to be true are scams.

Those auctions still have over 9 days till completion. The person selling those bikes is starting with a low bid because he is confident that people will be interested and therfore raise the price higher and higher by bidding. Also, it is possible that the seller forgot to put on a reserve, in which case he is a dumb b***h.

I also noticed that none of the bikes have pictures, and that there is about 100 bikes by that seller, so it is very possible that the seller is trying to pull off a scam.

Not "is very possible", it is a scam, no questions asked. And like zedro said, WTF kinda bike has an odometer, this guy is a "idiot" as quoted from napolean dynomite.

    1) Zero feedback
    2) Account just created today
    3) Four pages of high end bikes
    4) Starting bid of $1 with no reserve
    5) High Bidder's accounts are kept hidden (so people like us can't warn them)
    6) No pictures of the actual bikes

reported him to ebay, but would've been more fun to bid up the stuff to one MILLION dollars, then claim fraud when you win the auction. maybe if Ebay loses thousands in listing fees they might do a little better job of tracking the guy down.

Yes, obvious scam, but just as obviously there is such a thing as an odometer for a bicycle. On XC bikes I've always liked to buy a computer the day I get the bike. This isn't exactly uncommon, and it's quite beneficial in letting you know when you should start feeling guilty about certain maintenance tasks.

When I sold my 2003 Jekyll on ebay, I left the computer on it and advertised the mileage and it was accurate. (Mind you it only had 500 miles on it...if I had a ton I would not have mentioned this.)

I'm guessing he got the ad content from old ebay content or or other ads found on bikestores around the Internet.
