Why no sticky on personal DH bike pictures?

How come theres no sticky on the DH forum for posting pictures of your DH bike? I notice them on the other forums, but none here. I know i could look at other peoples rigs all day long. Its just good eye candy.

    PS-That is all.

yeah,in hundreds of different threads. Why not make a sticky like in every other forum? So you dont have to click on thousands of different posts. Is it that tough? What kind of DH'er doesn't like looking at other peoples rides?

Probably one that would rather go ride his bike instead of reading garbage on MTBR...

But yes, I totally agree. Somebody oughtta make a sticky so we can limit the "post pics if you have part X" or "post pics of your [insert bike name]" threads.

Yup, would make much more sense to sticky one thread for everyone to post their pictures of their rigs than have them spamming the board with "lets see you manitou, marzocchi, not manitou, iron horse" threads weve been getting a lot of lately.

It would be better if it was a sticky Dh races thread. See the bikes/posters in action.

Word. If any one of these forums deserves a "lets see your rig" sticky, then this is it. People love looking at DH bikes. Myself included. There are some sexy ones out there. Soo hot right now. And if you have a naked chick modeling it then thats even better. I'm working on it.

go to each manufacturers forum , they'll be a bazillion comments and pages in a day. I was in the urban forum and laughed at the amount of stickies. the Giant forum too

Firefox and tabbed browsing is worth using. the scroll-wheel button opens new tabs

First off, I enjoy looking at bike porn, who doesn't? From this post I can see that there are actually a few of them out there,.... weird... . I think it is a great idea, more stickys the better. Organization makes things easy for all.

And for those who seem to think that MTBR is there own little living space. Does it really matter how many people post pictures of their rigs, gear, and such? Does it really bother you to look at these? You act like this forum is your living room and the picture threads clutter it up, c'mon people. No one makes you "click" on the thread, and no one makes you read or look at it either.

To top it all off, people actually make the effort and take the time to post comments berating people for posting pictures or too many posts. Everyone on MTBR are nothing but a bunch of IP addresses, where no one is any better than the other. Unless you are one of those trolls that look for confrontation. That is we-tod-did.

OP- I say go fir it! More pictures the better,

Actually, to be a little b!tch and correct you... IP addresses are assigned to the NIC. The actually text on this page came in the form of Packets sent across a Coax cable (Or possibly Fibre/Satellite). It was input as 1's and 0's, then sent to the processor, then in turn, sent to the NIC and published via packets... So, in reality, you aren't talking to an IP address, but a HTML document that's being constantly updated by other people (Without people, there'd be no MTBR) [/b!tch]
Anyway. We do need a sticky, but the moderators basically don't monitor this forum at all, so I doubt anyone will make a sticky.

    Edit:
Here's the 7 posting guidelines. I see them all broken at least once in a day of surfing on MTBR.
    1. The message insults or degrades another member of the community.
    2. The message contains profanity, offensive language, or racial epithets.
    3. The message is an advertisement or spam.
(NOTE: It has been an "unwritten" rule for us to let it slide, when people who buy an Mtbr Classified ad, post in the forums. However, due to the recent increase in these ads, we will now be locking these types of posts. And you may NOT post an ad in more than 1 forum. ADDENDUM: Posting "What's It Worth" type threads may be considered spam and may be deleted at the moderator's discretion. Check our Classifieds section for similar bikes/parts for value.)
    4. The message contains obscene or pornographic images/photos/text/videos.
    5. The message promotes illegal activity (at our discretion).
    6. The message has been posted to more than 2 boards. Posting the same message to multiple boards is spam, and all posts may be removed and the user may be banned. Please post to the most relevant board only, no more than 2.
    7. The message is posted as "flame-bait" and is posted to incite flames and insults.
