Managed to get out for a little riding in Hot Springs with temps in the 60s. Beautiful day and didn't see anyone else on the trail....

went urban riding, just the usual local spot. ended up getting in a ton of trouble with the local business park securiety. probably can't ride the street spots near my house anymore because we don't want to be taken to the station. sucks, wasn't that great of turkey day for me

Unfortunately no riding for me today. Spent some time with the family and then went home and drank some beers. Hey ECH, any luck on finding a new frame yet? Oh yeah, did the golfball sized lump on your wrist go away, or is it still there?

Dug and hit the DJs a little before seeing the fam.
The Super T you have is really a very good fork. I'd take that fork over a Fox 40 or a Boxer unless i was entering a fashon contest instead of a race

It just opened for the season last Wednesday. They had 2 lifts and about 10 slopes open, not bad for this early in the season. Of course, the 10" of fresh they got in the past few days didn't hurt. It's snapping warm again, so we'll see.
As for snowboarding, it's pretty much the best east coast riding south of New England. Great halfpipe, terrain parks and the closest thing to a leg burner western-style runs - Cupp Run and Shays Revenge.

I built a double out of snow in my backyard, laid down plywood on the launch and the tranny, and had some fun. I studded my own tires and they worked pretty good.

Here's a few more; nothing hard core, just rocky, rooty singletrack, with plenty of 2-5ft drops with ugly entrances and bad landings. I was by myself so I tired to use the bike to give some perspective & an idea where the line is. Though it is hard to see, there are lines thoruhg this crap.
    Great, great trail....

And another: This was off the beaten path a bit, but is oh, so sweet. Basically, there is asteep roller up the hill, you come down , up and over the rock, and launch off the side where my bike is. Those laeaves make things a bit hairy...

Antoehr fun move. The line is straight through the chute in the middle. What you can't see is that there is an undercut sort of rock there that grabs your front tire if you try to roll through. The banzai, sort of manual approach is manadatory. I ate it here the first time.

    Another...
this is tech at it's best: Two lines, one is a straight drop over where the bike is into a slick off camber. The other is a fun sloping line to the right in the pic that goes over a large slap and drops in further down the hill.. Very fun.

The picture doesn't dothis justice. It's Very steep, and very, very fun. You can see the stair steps up top. Above it all is a neat section of rock slabs that sort of make a long jigsaw puzzle along the trail.
This trail also has some of the hairiest (rideable) drainage crossings I have ever seen. I was in XC gear during this ride, so I walked on of them. Give me some body armor, a beer, and somone to roll vidoe and call 911 and I might give the other one a shot.

All in all, just good trail riding fun. Sorry no action shot...
