I was gonna race Cougar Mountain but I opted out...it because really expensive (Around 140 total to race). I don't want to sound really cheap, but to me its too expensive for just one race. (NORBA License, Race Fee, and now "Practice Fee").

I really like Cougar Mountain and the event they did last year...but that was last year. I think this year they are taking on too much of a responsibility that the image might get altered. The folks at Cougar Mountain were going to build it as a second Sea Otter for the Northern Bay Area which I think is a great idea, and to me the DH course is one of a kind. A lof of you say its easy and low risk...but one mistake and you might be rolling down the hill with no shot of any sort of podium finish.

Anyway thats my mini rant. Love Cougar Mountain...not so much NORBA. I hope they return it to the way it was in 05.

To finally answer the question...I may or may not go Sunday...I'm sorta pressed for time even though I do want to make a video sequel to CMC.

ya, me too, not too hard when it's "top 10 at a local race" when only 15 people enter. Not bothering to go this year (it's MAYBE 600', and not very technical), but for '07 and '08, it's going to be held at Mt Snow!! Now *that* is an improvement!!

I qualified for the MX, despite the fact that the only MX race I've been in this season I got knocked out first round. But I think I finished top 10 since there was only 12 people in my class.

But like snowskilz said, MSC Snowmass will be way cooler.

    is making a comeback.

Turns out that five years of not mountain biking, really makes one strive to get back to it.

My son qualifyed for the DH but the cost as raptordude has pointed out will keep use away plus sat i have a wedding to attend. Hopefully in the future if there is one Infinion runs there event & not allow NORBA to manipulate what happens. Imfineon took a big hit on loss 2 years ago, last year was really good this year well see. Can say for a spectator the action is awsome you can see 97% of all the gravity events.

What class you in? If they had 60' doubles with rock take off and landings on singletrack and steep shoots it would be good?????
