When Is It Time To Get A Tensioner?

My chain is not falling off my front rings like it did on my old Enduro but is dropping down gears on my cassette when riding on rough trail. This sucks because when I need to pedal up a hill my drivetrain needs to get back into the correct gear. This not only causes me to dismount sometimes, it destroys my drivetrain. I don't think I can take out any more links in my chain. I'm running a 2x9 set up (22/32 F, 11/34 R).

Does this sound like something a chain tensioner would resolve? I like the looks, performance wise, of the e.Thirteen DRS.

    sure

i would say yeah, probably. give er a go. the e13 holds value so well you'd be able to ebay it back off and get like 80% of your money back if it doesn't work...

Can the e13 DRS fit on any bike, or does it need a special BB housing (the three bolt pattern on some FR and DH bikes)?
