Ride smoother? I guess you could go slower and jump less high.

wheels go round and hop up and down

    funny seeing this...

Many years ago I asked the guy at my lbs if they made stronger rims cause I kept bending mine. He said "learn how to land". At the time I was thinking...what a wiseass answer but after I thought about it and worked on it I found that he was right. Haven't seriously bent one since.

i guess my problem with my AM bike is i always seem to hit that odd rock with not enough pressure in my tires, the FR bike, i have since learned to land but definately will be hitting that odd rock when i dont want too.....

steps to have a stronger rim

    get a better rim builder
check tension of spokes every ride and tighten them
same continues loose spoke use a little lock tite if spoke lube isn't holding them
    ride smoother
the trick is ENJOYING YOUR LIFE EACH DAY, don't waste them away wishing for better days

The set I built up with those rims lasted years without a true. Last summer the wheel got stuck between two rocks and got the crap torqued out of it, I **** you not they broke a large chunk of said rock off and only went 1/4 inch out of true.
