    Whats the best fork?

i'm planning out how to build my new sx trail and was trying to decide if it'd be better to go with a rock shox totem (prob solo air or 2-step) or a Fox 36 Van...what do you guys think?

36 would get my vote. Know some people with that setup and they like it a lot.

I've got an SX trail with a Totem Solo Air that simply rocks!! 33.5 pounds and able to take seriouis abuse!! I've used it most of the year with no issues whatsoever!! I have however had friends with the Totem Coil that have had problems so you might steer clear of that one unless they improve them for '08

hell yeah....i've been leaning towards the totem but havent ever had a chance to ride either of the forks (fox or totem) -i'm riding manitou right now on a xc fisher and it just doesnt quite hold up as well with the drops and ladder bridges

The 36 Talas is a good fork but mine had to be serviced within 5 rides and I spent most of the summer fighting with Fox to get it covered under warranty. If you want a steeper headtube angle then the 36 is better. The Totem does slacken the front end a bit, but a worthy trade-off in my opinion!! I've got a practically new 36 Talas though that I haven't mounted since getting back from Fox if interested.

Got totem, almost same weight as Fox 36, but way burrlier. 66 are an option but in my opinion they are too heavy to compete with the totem.

ya colby, they may be heavy, but they are 66 times sexier so it makes up for the weight, just like deemaxes
