So i got new world disorder 8 from beyond bikes for free when i bought X amount of dollars in product and i was super stoked to get it probally more excited then getting my new parts and i put it in and i just got bored watching it... video just couldnt keep me glued to the TV i was pretty bummed and would of been pissed if i actually paid 30 bucks for it

Any body else get let down?

    The first NSX vids

NSX 1-5 get me stoked!!! Watching those guys hucking them selves in there spandex sh!t, on those primitive bikes is awesome. Seeing the roots of our sport just makes me want to ride and build. In the whole scope of things those video are dated and cheesey, but I love them. As far as new videos go...The Collective and NWD 6.

yeah, i bought NWD 8 too....it seemed....repetitive.....it was all bike no talk.....i know thats how people usually think it should be....but sometimes i like a little background info on the rider or the place their riding.....

saw ROAM and i must say i like it much better than NWD 8.........

Replace the word "video" in your question with the word "beer" and you'll get a lot more answers.

And the answer to my own question would be: Red Tail Ale, Fat Tire or New Castle.

Earthed 4/5 always get me pumped. NWD 6 was a classic. NWD 8 was a slight let down, too much slopestyle, not enough big bikes

DJ in DH videos is buzzkill for me; but at least they give me time to grab another beer before the real action starts. Raptor, good selections. Fat Tire for me. And also their winter seasonal, 2 Below.

Roam, especially the Kamloops part. NWD8 had sick riding, but editing/music really sucked.

For a more serious answer, I usually watch the yeti videos off the yeti website. They're short to hold my attention and free. Its really tough for me to drop $20+ on watching DH rather than saving and getting something new and shiny for riding DH

Earthed 4 is my choice (haven't checked out 5 yet). EDIT: Earthed 5 is everything Earthed 4 is AND MORE - check it out!!!! Too cool!!!!. (music does suck though, mainly....)
Roam and Cranked 6 are cool too (both are fantastically well made), NWD has great riding (duh) but kinda looses interest for me after a while...

reason for edit: got Earthed 5 since then....

earthed 5(better then 4) the music sucks most of the time, but the coverage is good. You can actually see three or four sections put together by one rider, instead of one section and 100 riders going by.

I'd call "Stripped" my new favorite. No cheese just riding. I always enjoyed the NSX vids as well. Roam and the collective are good vids but I don't find myself reaching for them to get my ride stoke on.

I don't get what all the hate is with NWD8. I don't like every scene or every song, but thats the way it goes for me with all MTB movies. The scenes and songs that I do like in NWD8, I LOVE. I do like *most* of the scenes in NWD8.

    Word.

Stripped and Elemental are my faves. There's something to be said about films that are somewhere between

    "RAWK THE FVCK OUT"

and "I'm like totally doing this as a spiritual being.....wanna touch my soul?"

Visually enjoyable without grinding your teeth or rolling your eyes back in your head over cliches.

    Anything with Andreu Lacondeguy.

My favorite pump up: Jeff Lenosky in NWD7. He's so smooth. Really warms me up for some smooth ass urban riding.

The second shot of Peat in Roam too, where he goes roaring through the woods and sounds like a freaking car going by. That one just makes my jaw drop.

The Roam Whistler Scene and the DJ Scene at Jordie's house get me going too.

Yeah the Yeti vids are nice, and pretty well done. I watched when I was recovering from my crash at Keystone. For movies, though, it has to be Kranked 6 or Roam.

it's got what kidwoo was mentioning...it's in between "OMG! RAWK OFF WITH YOUR SOX OFF!!!" and "touch my soul". great cinematography. great riding. great soundtrack.

Yes yes yes. I wonder how many guys have seen it on this thread. That soundtrack is killer. I mean, it has f----ng "Sign of the gypsy queen!" by April Wine, and "Deep End" by Swollen Members... My VCR finally broke so my father-in-law made me a disc... I heard Metallica got pissed they used "Ride the lightning" without permission so they stopped distributing it. Dammit Lars!

it'll be the search for animal chin or video days of the MTB world in a few years.. absolute classic. beautifully shot, great riding, good mix of styles and awesome soundtrack. Ball tearer.
