I think its when you land on a landing with half your bike on and half off. Really bad for fork! and bike

Front wheel makes the landing, rear wheel does not. WCH should be able to show you a pretty good picture of one....
Also called "case": to case a jump.

half/half/.....or half bike makes it and the other half doesn't or you get your front wheel over jump and make the landing but the back misses it

yeah in motocross everyone calls it to "case" a jump, because you land on your engine case, or in a mtn bike sense then you alnd on your bottom bracket area. its basicall smashing that center part of your bike where the BB is onto the top/peak of the jump. its very pain and i've seen plent of broken ankels result in casing and/or 50/50'ing something.

I've never heard someone talk about "50/50" as in casing a jump, but I hear it plenty at the skatepark. 50/50 a rail or somethin, double peg it.

Neither of those pics is a 50/50. Just a double peg grind or stall. A 50/50 would be front tire on one side of rail back tire on the other.
The Super T you have is really a very good fork. I'd take that fork over a Fox 40 or a Boxer unless i was entering a fashon contest instead of a race

    BMX
    Name: 50/50
    Description: Double Peg Grind

The 50/50 name comes from skateboarding where it's the name for sliding on both trucks at the same time. BMX uses many of skateboardings trick names when the tricks are similar.

Examples: Smith, Feeble, Nollie, Manual, Kick-flip, Acid-drop, Tail-tap

in this thread, the term 50/50 means that you attempted a jump and 50% of you and your bike made the jump and the other 50% did not..... (see first few pics)

Why should we call Casing a jump a 50/50? Its been called casing since the 70s or earlier even (I haven't read any MX magazines earlier than mid 70s). What's with renaming stuff?

I hate hearing people calling Nose-wheelies, Stoppies. They're Nose-wheelies and have been since the early 80s.

Same thing with Bunny-hops did all this Bronco-hop, J-hop, Pro-hop, Cali-hop crap come from.

there is a difference between a 50/50ing a jump and clipping a jump, even though they are both a case. just like there is a difference between a feeble and a smith even though they are both a grind....

50/50 = When one testicle ends up on the left side of the top tube, and one testicle on the right side of the top tube. There you have it!! 50/50 (unless you are a uni-ball)
