What crank would a world cup downhill racer use?

It's not the crank, it's the bottom bracket!

It's not the crank, it's the flat pedals!

Bottom line; Try Raceface North Shore DH Forged for a crank.

If one was experienced and good enough to be a world cup racer youd think hed know which parts to run by now ....Probably the lightest but strongest crank you can find would be the choice. Race Face turbines are pretty light and pretty strong.

i think WC riders dont really need the strongest, but probably the stiffest (well that might be preference as well). They get free stuff, or ride prototypes so they dont really have to worry about long term durability. I'm guessing a good deal run new XTR stuff.

Of course we could always just look at pics to find out.

Probably the kind that you inject directly into your arm, that way you're not affected in your breathing by smoking it. Just really bad track marks. You can snort it too, but that really burns your sinuses and you'll be hocking loogies all the way down the course

well that begs the question, would it actually make you faster, or just make everything appear faster?

and i guess you could always rehab the off-season....
