New question here. what to buy: a Cali DH?

few years ago when i had the cash I was about to buy a "Cali" DH bike, a Nomad C, that can be pedaled, but then I spent the cash on surfing and on a new car.

now, I'm back to looking for a long lasting and reliable downhill bike that can climb.

I like coils in suspensions. I'm considering, initially for about $4+K (can spend more, but prefer to be frugal):

Trek Scratch (esp. for its warrenty)
    SC Nomad C w/Vans (3 yr warrenty)
    Ibis Mojo HD.(2 yr warrenty)

    Help me out (again)?

Nomad sounds like the bike for you

Something comparable would be the New Transition covert. Very Nomad...ish with a smaller price tag.

Enduro Evo. Coil all around, slack h/a, pure joy on descents. And it has no problems with climbing up most anything out there.

that bike is insane...pump up the shock to your weight...sit on bike and have someone push a button and the sag is automatically set to 25% sag...
