    Waiting for the inevitable

I was just sitting here thinking about how lucky I have been when it comes to biking. I have never had a bad wreck, never snapped anything and have only had one close call. All this probably means I have one coming to me anytime now. The worst ive had was when my front brake line exploded halfway down silverton mtn. but I had already slowed to a crawl for a turn. So, if anyone wants to place bets on when it will happen im willing to play along

Don't even think about it or you will crash, not because you haven't yet but because it's in your mind that your gonna crash now. For anyone who didn't read T Vanderhams article in Decline recently he just this year broke his first bone biking. Think off all the crazy stuff he's done on a bike and come out fine. Just don't let crashing crawl to the front of your mind. It always lingers in the back of every riders mind. But you can't let it take you over.

Every so often i feel this way too. So what i do is crash on purpose to get it out of the way. I choose turns to do it in cause it hurts less. U could try it on a drop but i dont advise it. look for soft leaves to land in. Good luck

every time I bring up how long its been since I had a crash it always happens. so I dont even think about it any more let alone get cocky and open my pie hole about it
