    Nice

Dom's Denial looks like it was the most popular feature for the weekend! That drop progression is cool too.
    Nice vid!

Nice vid. Looks like fun. Stop reading now if armchair coaching makes you pissy. You have been forewarned: this advice and $2.15 will get you a RedBull.

The 1st guy on Dom's Demise did something much worse than hit it too fast - he let the bike control him. Newbs often just ride off stuff and hang on... Non-FRers often say hucking just takes balls and not skills, but I beg to differ. That long travel FS bikes are pretty good these days is responsible for a lot of saves, but also for over-confidence leading to guys riding off stuff they're not ready for skills wise.

IMHO, on drops (and jumps) the rider should be pulling the bike up with arms and legs bent similar to a j-hop (aka bunny hop). Among other benefits, this action allows the rider to control the angle of the bike in the air in time for landing with both tires at the same time or the rear slightly sooner.

It looked like the rider who crashed just kinda rode off and let gravity do its thing. His bike landed past the smoother, planned transition due to speed, but he crashed because it landed front tire first - the back tire didn't come down until after he was already crashing.

    Good job! Dom's Denial Rules!!

Doms Denial was so smooth. I hit it five times on saturday.
One word of caution, have a spotter check the landing if you can before going off.
I almost took someone out while they decided to push back up the transition for another run. Two trails merge at the landing and it tends to draw a crowd.

That rad to nowhere drop looks fun. Does the landing get slick when wet, with it being granite and all?
It puts the lotion in the basket or it gets the hose!
