    Too young to downhill...

O.K, I have a little problem . I moved to south america about 5 months ago. I really like downhill but to race in the downhill races here you have to be at least 13 . Do you have any suggestions about how to convince them to let me race or some other suggestions. Also there are no other downhill tracks around and the one they race at is only open for the races.
    Thanks

    make your own?

if they wont let you race, go cut some trails near your house and ride em all you want, it takes alot of work but in the end you have a track you can ride whenever, and however you like.

untill your 13, i guess you will just have to make due

how old are you? if your a year or two below...just ride hard and hit trails like you were racing dh over and over. Then when you are 13 and race you can prove that they should have let you earlier. rise above your circumstances.

Well I can;t build trails by my house because there is no space. There is one short downhill track at the place where I jump. I am already bored of it but it is true that if I talk to them and ask them to let me race and they say no, I'll just show them that they should of let me in earlier when I get 1st place.

    Thanks for the advice

Fake your age. Meet some sketchy guys to make you a fake id and then you can hit the clubs and stuff too.

dress like a girl and use your disguise to trick government officials into following you to their deaths and then live in a world of anarchy where there are no mean event organizers to tell you you can't race...

I think the only reason is for safety. You can do cross country starting at age 5!!! But in cross country there is like no chance of getting hurt. I coulld tell them that I just turned 13There is also the language problem...I don't speak enough spanish. I guess I could get a translator. Oh yeah the LBS right down the street from my house said that when I finally entered a race they would let me use their demo 9 that they have in there.
