    Tire Size question?

Hey sort new to FR. I am building up a Transition and just wanted to know the best tire size for all mountain and some freeride. I currently have new Nevegal 2.1 Stickys but I am thinking maybe I should of went with a 2.35 or maybe a maxis minnion. What do you guys suggest..

Which Tranny, and what's the split going to be between FR and AM?
For AM I run 2.35F/2.25R, but would likely try out a 2.5/2.35 setup if I were going to throw a significant amount of FR stuff into the mix.

I'm running a 2.35 Nevegal up front and a 2.35 tubeless Ignitor on the back (with a tube though) for the thicker sidewall. The Nevegals actually expand quite a bit so a 2.35 is pretty close to a 2.5. Just remember that you can get by with a lighter tire up front if you're fairly smooth but you definitey want to run something burly on the back so you avoid pinch flats.

I've run 2.5/2.35 nevegals I liked that until I ripped the sidewall on my single ply 2.35.. I ran 2.5/2.2 dh24's that was also a good setup, until I ripped a hole in the 2.2.. now I run 2.5 nevegal up front and 2.5 dh24 out back and it's been treating me well, no rips yet..
