    tire advice

i currently have maxxis minion 2.7 tires right now, but they are pretty chewed up. i want just as wide if not wider tires. i am currently looking at specialized chunder s-works 2.5, which i can get a real good deal on or kenda nevegal 2.7 or excavator tires in 2.5. i have heard that the maxxis is narrower then normal and the specialized are wider. any advice would be great

why do you want wider than a 2.7??

if you want wide, get the WTB timberwolve 2.7s. they barely fit in a marzocchi fork.

Maxxis tires rule. I've ridden alot of tires and am most pleased with the different Maxxis tires. Currently am running 2.7 Mobster up front, 2.5 High Roller in rear about to switch to the 2.5 Mobster.

Really what truly determines what is the best tire is.... Where you live and what kind of terrain do you ride on? Hard pack, rocky, sluffy sand, wet mud...etc..etc...etc...

Choose a tire on your terraina and performance level I do say so!

the main reason i am even looking at specilized tires is i can get $70 tires for about $15, other wise i would go back to maxis, they served me well
