    Thanksgiving vacation

Well sort of . I'm not in school anymore and haven't been for a while, so it's more of days off from work than a vacation really. Anyway, I'm looking for people who are gonna be riding that wouldn't mind me snapping some photos for my portfolio and maybe Decline/Dirtrag submissions

'm in the Santa Cruz, Ca area, so if you wouldn't mind a photog tag along send me a message or email me: davepawlakphoto [at] yahoo.com to link up. I'm looking to shoot tomorrow, Saturday, or Sunday.

My page is still under construction, but please take a peak: www.davepawlak.com

    Happy Thanksgiving!

This could be interesting. Pacifica is a pretty good drive for me...I'm about 2hrs south of SF as it is.

Santa Cruz is cool. If you guys need some showing around, I think I could manage or at least point you in the right direction.

Hmm.... I'd probably be down for Pacifica more than SC just because its closer and I know whats there... But If someone showed me around SC that'd be cool. Actually I know a guy who might be able to help me out.

So who is going to SC tomorrow or Pacifica? I'm going with the majority...

As far as DH specific stuff goes...SC does lack a little. Pacifica might be the best bet if you're on a long travel bike. Most trails around here are not that crazy or techy and aimed towards FR stuff. If you're into gaps and big jumps from a trail, I can point you in that direction.

Jack, if all else falls through, I'd be game to head up to SV for some step up action/360's/Supermans. That looks like a little place near a quarry we used to go to. I'd like to pull out my lights and get some nice flash'd shots.

I'm borrowing my brothers computer right now. I'll check back in a bit to see if the concensus is still SC.

Things You Can Only Say On Thanksgiving
    1. Talk about a huge breast!
    2. Tying the legs together keeps the inside moist.
    3. It's Cool Whip time!
    4. If I don't undo my pants, I'll burst!
    5. That's one terrific spread!
    6. I'm in the mood for a little dark meat.
    7. Are you ready for seconds yet?
    8. Its a little dry, do you still want to eat it?
    9. Just wait your turn, you'll get some!
    10. Don't play with your meat.
    11. Just spread the legs open and stuff it in.
    12. Do you think you'll be able to handle all these people at once?
    13. I didn't expect everyone to come at once!
    14. You still have a little bit on your chin.
    15. How long will it take after you stick it in?
    16. You'll know it's ready when it pops up.
    17. Wow, I didn't think I could handle all of that!
    18. That's the biggest one I've ever seen!

Sounds good to me. See you there. I'll be in a beautiful blue Subaru Outback with spray painted black rims, and a DHR on the roof. Unless I go with novato then it'll be a white Suburban...

Good I wanna see shots of that huge gap at the bottom of the one trail being hit! You know the trail through the tight valley with small doubles on each side than wam it opens and there are 2 small hills with a lip on the first, made to launch over the 2nd hill!!!

those trails are so short I would just bring it! Leave in the car for a run or two ride down grab it and hike back up? It is fairly dark in the tree section so keep ISO up and use external flash. Or just pan the heck out of em and make them look fast..... Also tell Scott he can hit that 60 footer no PROBLEM!

Now I just have to figure out how to adjust the ISO I already screwed the camera up once and my dad almost killed me.

No I am in SLO. Working on my senior project and trying out the new 1Dn!!! Went to CASTILLO today and shot a pro MX rider for about 20 minutes!

Found out 1 of my long lenses has focus problems! Need to send it in.

Ok you have plenty of LIGHT in those. you were shooting an F2.8 lens!!!! Ok usinf F2.8 is cool but can be hard to nail focus with. Also 1/60 shutter is slow. I bet if you had 200-400 they would have been pretty good. But looks like you guys had FUN. nay of the root drop next to the tree??

ahahha the vid still looks just as good as the pics taken with the camera...

Might want to invest in a better camera.

I have a d70, but it is a [pain to carry around on the trails all day, and if I fell with it in my back pack and broke it, I can only imagine the consequences. I'll bring it next time.
