Well sometimes I'm cruising down a gnarly muddy downhill and my track pants get all covered in mud and water, and it's really hard to jock the biches at the finish line in wet track pants. So as I'm nailing that last huge tabletop across the finish line I tear them off revealing my leopard skin printed banana hammock and the crowd goes ape chit.

you can use cat crap or buy new goggles. cat crap really isn't very good for the lenses. tear offs won't do anything for fog..

Get goggles that don't fog up, I've always used spy goggles. They never fog up on me.

Also the point of tear-offs are for muddy wet courses for when your goggles get covered with mud. Tear one off and bam you can see again.

Tear offs are more of a moto thing. Bikes tend to not roost you the way motos do.
