    Switching to 24" rear - how much slacker will it be?

    I'm thinking of switching my kid's DH bike to a 24 inch rear wheel to gain a little standover height.

    I do know the trade-offs to expect with the change--I definitely know the downsides.

    The slacker angles will probably be ok still, even so I'm wondering how much they will change.

    Anyone have any thoughts?

    Thanks - I was thinking that it would be in that range;

    I'm also wondering if it changes the seat angle more than the head angle, or if the effect is about the same on both.

    Visualizing it, I would think it would either be the same change or affect the seat angle more, but I'm not sure

    seat angle may kinda depend on your linkage. But with you off the bike it should be about the same as your headtube

    how tall is your kid
    ...maybe switch both front and back to 24 inch to have better overall geometry

    you will have to adjust the seat a little if you run 24 inch on rear alone
    the trick is ENJOYING YOUR LIFE EACH DAY, don't waste them away wishing for better days
