steerer tube length, if I ever sell again?

I got a brand new fox 36. Cut the steerer tube down to about 8.5 inches. I want possibly cut it down another half inch or so, only having one 15mm spacer or so on the bottom. My question is, for whatever reason If i ever sell it, if its shorter than 8.5 inches or so will I be screwed? Or if I got a new frame? I know every company is different but most make em pretty short these days. whats around the minimum you guys cut yours? Thankss

With the new trend of tapered head tubes and people running zero stack headsets i don't think you should have a problem.

I just sold an 09 talas 36 with an 8" steer and got way more than i thought i could. i think you are fine.
