    SPV Evolve update question?

For people that hyave had this done, I just got the upgrade & I was wondering if your new assembly makes a slliding noise? I think it is just the new parts getting broken in--normal new fork noise. Just curious if this is happening to anyone else.

did you buy the upgrade?? or did manitou warranty it?? I thought i remember reading that manitou warrantied them for some people to replace the original SPV.. I don't konw if you had the same problem, but with the SPV, on the fast bumps, it would make some kinda clanking sound at the beginning of the rebound..

I just installed it yesterday and I think it's because of the tight tolerance to the new teflon 'O' ring. I figure it'll quiet down after some use.

    Big Improvement

Rode it today & didn't notice any noise on the trail. Much better on small stuff than before. I use more travel without experiencing brake dive or pogoing. I had to buy the upgrade for $40 from my LBS. I will probably get the upgrade for my slider also. My slider has been more plush than my firefly so I haven't felt the need to upgrade that fork.
