    sounds sketchy

    i just posted my bike up for sale in the classifieds, and about 2 minutes later i got an email saying this.

    Hey man,
    I saw that bike you have for sell, that is sweet, I got my dad to buy it for me,i'll like to know your last price,he has his own shipping company, so he will send a truck over to your house to get it, Where do you want me to send the check? Thanks, I look forward to riding soons.

    scammer or what. im leaning towards yes. let me know what you guys think.

    Sounds like a new scam. Better than most though.

    Play along, could be funny if it's a scam. Obviously, the bike doesn't leave your sight until you have guaranteed funds.

    carefull though, i had a check that looked ligit and it was a fake with only my name, luckily i took it to the bank that it was supposed to be from and they told me it was bad. the bad thing was they wrote it for over and i was supposed to send them the extra. if i would have cashed it somewhere else i would have been responsible for all of the funds because my name was the only one on the check. never let them pick it up either. tell them you will only ship it through a known place and that you only accept paypal.
    there are too many scammers out there.
    if i were you i would put it on ebay. its alot safer

    its a scam. it happened to my friend. the guy will send you a check for wayyy more then the bike is worth and then say it was a mistake and tell you to wire the money back to him. He's trying to launder money

    The spelling is a pretty good giveaway... probably from the Philippines or someplace like that.
