somewhat OT... bontrager 24" DJ ?

i have a ~ 10 y.o. bontrager 24" cruiser i was thinking about turning into a nicer DJ bike. anyone know of a decent 24" suspension fork i can put on it? fairly inexpensive cranks? - it has a crappy one-piece crank now.

That's a BMX bike, and a suspension fork will only be detrimental to how it rides. I would keep the stock fork, and would definitely get a nicer set of cranks. Profile's 3pc cranks are really good, stiff, light and strong, plus they aren't very expensive, only about $150. Your bike has an American BB, so you won't need any adaptors. As long as you ride it a lot, you shouldn't need to upgrade much. Too often, cruisers just end up sitting at home and never get ridden.
